During a scheduled event some of the patrons entered the preschool area using water soluble paint across the carpet, vinyl flooring, tables, chairs and misc contents.

Although, the paint was water soluble the paint splatter was the concentrate. (This is like food coloring) difficult to remove.

We attempted removal the excess paint from the materials, the finished furniture responded to the cleaning process, the unfinished furniture was permanently stained.

When the cleaning of the furniture became an issue we contacted the manufacture, they suggested; blotting, pad remove in the affected area before steam cleaning. We followed their instructions. Most areas of the carpet responded some areas there is slight stain. We relearned the carpet with encapsulation the results were better. The vinyl flooring was stripped and refinished with 3 coats of finish.  

The director was satisfied and the children returned to the room.
