Fire & Water - Cleanup & Restoration

"Like never even happened"

This old mill building had a water leak on the north side of the building. Days after the rain water found along the wall, the wall was dry. After several months of guessing the property manager finally contacted SERVPRO of Lowell to identify the water intrusion. On a windy rainy day we inspected the building with a thermal imaging camera and moisture meters. Although, we were able to trace the water, we could not identify the entry point.  The property manager agreed to allow SERVPRO to remove the plaster along the window wall. Once the framing was exposed we still could not locating the entry point. After several rains storms and saturating the building with a pressure washer, still no luck indentifying the entry point. This old mill building is showing, its charm and construction. Before the property manager re-point the façade. He gave us on more shot at identifying the entry point.

During a heavy windblown rain storm he called us back to as the water had once again migrated into the building. We finally traced the leak, the water was leaking above the lintel because of the density of the brick wall the water migrated undetected through the center of the bricks before pudding on the floor.

When you need a team that won’t quit give SERVPRO of Lowell a call 978-454-7577. We’ll work until all issues are solved.
